Oysters are simple little things

don’t have much color

or an exquisite design

They are simple little things

most people overlook them

or mistaken them for regular shells

Very simple little things

not a prop for a sand castle

or obvious need to collect them in buckets

Simple little things

In life we are nothing more than an oyster

A simple little thing

with no distinctive markings

and no noticeable need to have

There is yet one element to an oyster that makes it worthwhile

For it to be a simple little thing

the most beautiful of treasures

small in size but big in value

The oyster gives you a pearl

if you find the right one

it takes a simple little thing

and creates one of the world’s wonders

Like oysters we have the capability to conceal a jewel

May be a simple little thing

unless you hold the pearl
