Celebrating 8 Years of Awesomeness

Today is an amazing day. Today I am celebrating 8 years of awesomeness.

It’s been 8 years since I made the decision to start my career as a writer. Little did I know the ride that awaited me once I took the plunge.

When I started out, all I knew is I wanted to be a world-renowned author. I wanted my words to resonate on the ears of people from all around the globe. And, most importantly, I wanted to make a real difference in the lives of people who have been through tragedy, heartbreak, and just plain old bad luck.

In the beginning, I found out very quickly that many writers needed help. Whether it was advice on a piece, ways to get themselves seen or just a kind word to let them know that they were on the right track.

Most writers ignore the pleas of lesser known writers.

But not me.

Even though I hadn’t really established myself, I couldn’t turn away others that just needed to know which way was up. This industry is tough to break into and if you don’t know what you’re doing you can get lost in the fray or, unfortunately for some, give up altogether.

I made it my business to learn everything I could about the writing industry. Did you know there was a writing industry? I sure didn’t.

The publishing industry was all I knew before I started and I didn’t know that very well.

But I soon found out, through research and getting to know writers of all styles, genres, and backgrounds, that it was the industry of writers I wanted to serve and be among. That meant authors (fiction & nonfiction), essayist, journalists, bloggers, poets, copywriters, and everything in between.

That’s why I started Ambitious Endeavors along with my personal writing career.

While I initially wanted my business to be one of the leading resources for publishing professionals, it has evolved into coaching and editing service for all areas of writing and a smorgasbord of writers.

I am proud to have served independent writers, entrepreneurs from many different backgrounds, and previously published authors, both traditional and self-published.

While there have been some great times, there have also been bad times.

A Rough Road

Through these 8 years, I have been through multiple surgeries, bad deals, and major letdowns. I have wanted to give up on numerous occasions, but I continued on through the illness, sadness, and utter irritation that has come along the way. From scheming writers who just wanted to steal my work to clients who didn’t pay me my due to the non-committal of investors, my business and I have been through some rough patches.

You know what, though.

Each time something bad happened, I picked myself up, dusted myself off, and kept right on truckin’.

Each time another writer I’ve helped has success, I have success.

Each time I wanted to stop something kept me going and I am so elated that I stuck it out.

Into The Light

Through all the ups and down, all the do-overs and revamping, all the setbacks, you beautiful people have stood by my side. You’ve been verbal supporters and quiet observers. Regardless of what role you’ve played, I thank you and show my sincere appreciation.

In celebration, I am offering 50% off all coaching, editing and strategy sessions for all writers of all genres, styles, and backgrounds. That goes for you entrepreneurs, too! (Writing is important to your business)

Once again, thank you for your ongoing support and love. You help me glow so bright!!!
